The one who said that time is money had something to earn
the value of their time was downgraded to something you burn
except that it wasn’t actually their time they referred to back then
but the time of those who needed things from and working for them

This could be actually a lucky guess but knowing the world we live in
people are trying to look good by saying things they don’t really mean
and this takes us all the way back at the beginning of the human kind
when they were trying to communicate with any words they could find

It is spectacular how one can miscommunicate what they have in mind
or just do it on purpose so that they can manipulate those who are blind
and this will double benefit the communicator and now it gets funny
as they get called experts for doing so but in practice no, time isn’t money

This surely is a way of looking at these things from another perspective
challenging as it is, it helps you understand why all these are subjective
quotes, opinions, sayings of men that are actually trying their best to sell
they get so excited in trying to get you buy things but time isn’t one of them
