I am a monster in a sea of monsters
knowing who I am has kept me alive
I never claimed to be self righteous
but I managed somehow to survive

The sea I found myself in when born
has been my home for many years
I tend not to move when I don’t have to
avoiding to face all my intellectual fears

The other monsters so far are good
some play dirty some play nice
it’s just a community of monsters
everyone wants their own slice

All these monsters care for just one thing
how to become rich and cover every need
they seem to neglect the sea they live in
as they cannot imagine it can bleed

So they developed tools to work for them
and everyone increases their wealth with ease
no one thought this doesn’t seem to be right
they ‘ve been busy for themselves to please

The sea temperature is getting warmer
and the challenge now is to build the tool
that will make them enough money to escape
but you know “a fool with a tool is still a fool”

The monsters are still alive and so am I yet for how long?
