Wishful Thinking

Eventually there will be progress
far from anything you ‘ve ever seen
artificial intelligence, virus, soldiers
scare you more you ‘ve ever been

Now that we are trying to be our best
things show up to remind us we are not
and while this one gets us all stressed
we ‘ll manage to be on top as we were taught

You may be calling this wishful thinking
as it focuses on progress and beyond that
however it might become quite misleading
and lose the argument to an AI chat

Technology is moving on quite fast
progress is inevitable which is good and bad
the future we talked about is here at last
the management of it though seems quite hard

The Way Forward

Words have no meaning
when people do not understand them
same as a bird in the evening
making noises above them

It took years of hard work
making it difficult to change
if you don’t like it just don’t
listen to it and turn the page

Of all the languages we speak
there’s one that has no sound
but without it how do you think?
how do your thoughts form or come out loud?

Fundamental questions on the rise
no time to think about them now
make me see with your own eyes
the best way forward somehow

I ‘m going to be quick
I ‘m leaving in a bit
going to Potamos creek
a fun day road trip

A brainstorm of the moment
a break from the torment
who cares about the omen
light is my burden

This is a happy one
for sure not a dirty one
child and elder are one
ready set go little one

The Calm before the Storm

calm before the storm, feelings, life, personal, poem, poetry, realisations, valphi

I don’t know if a storm is coming
but things lately have been relatively calm
it feels weird for some reason
yet inspiration has started to come back

The usual worry of our times
never be stress free or something is wrong
it’s not just me I know it though
I’m back in the mood for writing a song

A song about hyper productivity
never rest, always keep trying for the best
run things concurrently
be ready when it’s time for the ultimate test

Somebody told me today
get some rest before you get tired
it’s the key to consistency
though self discipline also required

We ‘ve reached a level where
if things are going well we get worried
if things are bad is normal
maybe a post trauma of the virus Covid

Maybe a storm is not coming
maybe I should enjoy being calm for days
and I should write that song
that will speak of our times’ tales

Excited & Stressed

This all goes backwards just to be clear
life though still starts with a tear
continuous uncertainty triggers fear
now nothing is really enough dear

Quick and dirty tricks had no trust
back then the way to make it fast
happiness does not seem to last
the way it used to be in the past

Slowly moving on but still willing to try
there is no right or wrong just getting by
like pretty much every other point in life
excited and stressed at the same time

She’s giving you the chills when she’s around
you can’t be yourself, about it, there’s no doubt

You moved on too quickly because you are impatient
she forced you to wait by calling you self-complacent

An impulsive passion has grown that deep inside burns
she is no game to play with, wait till she returns

The hope remains while the waiting still goes on
she rocked your mind and left you hanging upon

You are willing to wait for as long as you have to
a younger you, the rock’n’roll girl made you get back to

Consistency Concerns

The feeling of something coming near to the end
gets you in the mood for achieving more my friend
yet be careful for it might stress you up a bit
and surely there’s no need for such a treat

It’s so hard to remain consistent in this routine
as every new thing gets squeezed in between
the rest of the “tasks” that need to be done
and slowly you realize that it is indeed not fun

Consistency needs sacrifices you have to make
on top of all the chances you had so far to take
perhaps we should be flexible with it in a way
be able to pull the strings loosely within the day

Yet the greatest concern of all of them to think about
lies within the fact that there’s no control all around
there’s always these things which are out of your control
and make you think eventually there can be no consistency at all

Re-start Learning

change, failure, focus, goals, learning, life, mind, new things, poem, poetry, success

You need to keep learning new stuff
you cannot rely on the things you know forever and that’s tough
because things change and you need to catch up
don’t be relieved with the things you ‘ve learnt so far

It seems that you feel you ‘re getting older
and as a matter of fact you indeed are
but you need to keep learning new stuff
otherwise you let yourself fall back

If you feel you ‘re on top of the world
guess what? you are most probably not
chances are you are on your way down
and your mind’s distracted no doubt

You think and you feel there is no time
to learn new things or at least try
but the weird thing is that you never had
it’s just that now the excuse doesn’t sound that bad

You almost had believed it but something felt wrong
and then you realised it had been wrong all along
because you are not there yet not on top of the world
you are somewhere behind and you need to move on

Your secret desire to reach your ultimate goal
had your mind fooled and thought you stood tall
but the road to freedom is full of traps like this
you are not there yet you are far from finding peace

Put your head together stay focused on your plan
don’t let your desires create the illusion that you are done
remind yourself it’s hard to reach a steady state of bliss
and you should never get tired or bored of learning new things

Forget Her

emotional, emotions, forget, life, love, memories, poem, poetry, regret

by the small bench at the park there was sitting a kid
who thought of life as something to give
and wanted to give me a reason to live

it was obvious to the kid that deep inside of me
there was a sadness that made me look older
and wanted to know what I had told her

and I just started talking about her in tears
and as I remembered the words exactly
the kid said “she’s lovely”

and then the words came out of my mouth
I said to her “I love you”
the kid said “No! I love you”

it’s good that she ran away the kid said
because now you are not together
and you know you couldn’t get her
thus it’s easier to forget her

decision, decisions, experience, get through, life, meaning, move on, plan, poem, poetry, success

Take control
put yourself together
first do the hard part then the rest
do things better
and that is all

be sure
be way up above
or better yet way up ahead
think this is what you love
think pure

always prepared
never miss a thing
choose carefully what your next move will be
become the smartest link
never be scared

insight and foresight
how do you get through
before you get into the fight of life
only one thing you must do
decide

on time!
