Legends Do Die

back to the beginning, concert, end of an era, full circle, heavy metal, legend, life, music, never say die, ozzy, rip

A legend may be dead but it isn’t really so
the shock of losing someone you don’t even know
he will live on and on through the music he shared
the entire world says goodbye to the one who dared

It really hits you when a legend dies I don’t know why
I guess it’s the realization that indeed legends do die
they mark the end of an era and they may rest in peace
but through their music they will forever give you bliss

A legend that admittedly is not a good example of a man
has managed through music to make almost everyone a fan
the entire world feels sorry and thankful at the same time
for the craziness and music that he’s given them through his life

It feels weird to feel the need to say a last goodbye to someone never met
yet that someone is a legend that his voice still reminds you how you felt
when you were a teenager, young or old in a state of madness or feeling void
his lyrics and music kept you sane and held you back from getting too paranoid

Back to the Beginning, Rest in Peace Legend!

Beautiful, concert, happy, live, music, new songs, yay

Showtime!
feels like going beyond the line
I have set in this lifetime of mine
as if I was doing this for the first time

Felt great!
went better than expected in a way
left me happy without anything to say
in a “I should do this more often” state

On it!
seems that I will do this for some more
and it’s not that I haven’t done it before
but I never got to the point that I own it

The Music in my Soul

a.l.i.n.e., Beautiful, creation, happy, mellow, music, new songs, voices

There are voices inside my head
but I never really listen to them
I tend to turn the other way instead
unless they whistle to me a music gem

Some people call this inspiration
and there will always be more
it’s just a form of beautiful creation
especially if never been heard before

The voices are the inspiration’s spark
they keep telling you things until you act
and when you get them out of the dark
they become a form of magnificent art

So much beautiful music out there
a lifetime is not enough to listen to it all
maybe it’s time to get back to where
I should let out the music in my soul

Let out the voices… The Music in my Soul

A poem about death
a poem about beating death
a poem to turn into a song
a song that should be forty minutes long

Facing death and all its glory
it’s not my time yet
it’s not the end of my story
enough said
I ‘m not going to feel sorry for myself
I ‘m not dead yet!

This poem is alive
this poem will forever be alive
this poem will become a song
a song that will be forty minutes long

The news came in
I should get some therapy
everything is in the air now
I ‘ll get through this
I won’t back down

artist, bliss, concert, DG, favourite song, kid again, life, music, soundrack of our lives, when in rome

Funny how things can turn out
travel all that far just to listen to live music
not much sleep and tired close to burnout
you suddenly feel younger and alive again

The feeling is really not like anything else
just being close to your childhood idol
something vitalizes you up at no expense
all you are waiting for is the music to begin

Oh the joy and amusement, a state of bliss
right now my all time favourite song begins
there’s really nothing to compare with this
totally worth all the trouble to get to it

Funny how things can turn out
waiting all my life to go to this concert
expecting to hear that guitar solo out
there’s no power, wait for another round

It wasn’t really great but it wasn’t bad either
we had a laugh and then forgot about it
clapped the hands to keep going further
a special moment after all, forever to remember

I am a teenager again, younger I ‘ll ever be
all this live music took me back in time
first and last one to watch and listen David play live
“Thank you very much indeed!” so right!

Neural Nostalgia Bliss

I think I ‘ve almost watched them all
my heroes performing live on stage
and maybe it’s time to turn the page

Neural nostalgia will bring me back
and perhaps make me happy again
even if I ‘m really happy by then

Looking forward for this to happen
it’s like waiting for an old friend to call
and laugh over silly things we recall

The middle of being young and old
feels I ‘ve reached that point with this
hope for neural nostalgia bliss

Let’s not get all that mellow though
things end and new things begin
the music though remains within

It will bring back you too some day
even for a moment it will hit your brain
the soundtrack of your life and all that may contain

I ‘ve been thinking about it for long
sooner or later I got to finish the song
it’s been ages since I have started it
along with other projects that delayed it

Thinking that in order to complete this
it doesn’t have to be the bee’s knees
then again I need to cancel other things
to make the time to rock those strings

The tough thing to do is to decide what
can I put aside an existing project that
has been in the wait for a very long time
and nothing shows it will reach its prime

The reasonable thing to do is cancellation
but these projects are my mind’s salvation
putting it aside will probably do the trick
give it a second chance, let it be a future pick

So many things need to come out of my head
so much music ready to be unleashed into the world
the sense of creativity this time has reached level red
and I am alone in the studio as if I do not want to be heard

I have played and replayed this inside my mind
I think I ‘m ready but maybe I ‘m not, who’s to decide
the art has to be released, for other people to find
this kind of self esteem needs not to be denied

Is it the right time or is it not? nobody knows for sure
it’s just a matter of a brave move, you have to believe in
the hesitation is normal, the publicity you have to endure
once you show to the world the muse that comes from within

A Time of Reflection

It’s been years since you last seen them
It’s been years you ‘ve been listening to them
and now you are watching them live
and it’s just better than the last time

And you think of all the years that have passed
you realize that only yet you have to understand
that life has gone by and you are still alive
and music has been your only way to escape time

Last night in Vienna was amazing you will remember
not because you ‘ve listened to the same old songs
but for a moment you went back in time and saw
your younger self not being able to think of this at all

And yet, you are here still in the same mood
when listening to them, is getting to you for good
music does this to you and you feel younger in time
more experienced and still, music makes you feel alive
