A poem about death
a poem about beating death
a poem to turn into a song
a song that should be forty minutes long

Facing death and all its glory
it’s not my time yet
it’s not the end of my story
enough said
I ‘m not going to feel sorry for myself
I ‘m not dead yet!

This poem is alive
this poem will forever be alive
this poem will become a song
a song that will be forty minutes long

The news came in
I should get some therapy
everything is in the air now
I ‘ll get through this
I won’t back down

Neural Nostalgia Bliss

I think I ‘ve almost watched them all
my heroes performing live on stage
and maybe it’s time to turn the page

Neural nostalgia will bring me back
and perhaps make me happy again
even if I ‘m really happy by then

Looking forward for this to happen
it’s like waiting for an old friend to call
and laugh over silly things we recall

The middle of being young and old
feels I ‘ve reached that point with this
hope for neural nostalgia bliss

Let’s not get all that mellow though
things end and new things begin
the music though remains within

It will bring back you too some day
even for a moment it will hit your brain
the soundtrack of your life and all that may contain

V for Val

She’s not gone yet
that’s a first
maybe something wrong with her?
same thirst

Someday we ‘ll look back
and see love
not a single hack?
maybe for laugh

The number is eight
decade record
is there such thing as late?
split of a second

It’s still the beginning
going well
no signs of mistreating?
no bell

She’s not gone yet
that’s a first
should I be worried about her?
I’m blessed

Away she will run
maybe one day
are you sure it’s not just fun?
Yay!

Let’s hope she will
remain my gal
would you, I mean, for her, kill?
V for Val!

She’s giving you the chills when she’s around
you can’t be yourself, about it, there’s no doubt

You moved on too quickly because you are impatient
she forced you to wait by calling you self-complacent

An impulsive passion has grown that deep inside burns
she is no game to play with, wait till she returns

The hope remains while the waiting still goes on
she rocked your mind and left you hanging upon

You are willing to wait for as long as you have to
a younger you, the rock’n’roll girl made you get back to

She’s going away…

She’s leaving and I can’t ask her to stay
I have no other choice and I ‘m going astray
while my life is a mess and great at the same time
I ‘d love her to stay and be my partner in crime

The romantic side of me certainly won’t be enough
and I ‘d push her away by pretending to be tough
I guess there’s no other way than saying it out loud
and hoping for a reaction that we can work this out

Of all the girls around that I could have chosen by now
none of them inspires me so much like she does somehow
would I be too selfish if I would ask her to stay
I have no other choice, I ‘m really going astray

Still haven’t found the one
whose life clock synchronizes with mine
whose speed of life coordinates with mine
who can escort me in love

Problem lies within
I should be searching for her
I should not be waiting for her
I should let her in

The one to be with me
such a joke to be found in the world
such a sad story to say to the world
is the one to set me free

Still haven’t found the one
who can escort me in love
problem lies within
I should let her in
the one to be with me
travels roughly at the same speed

condemned, inspiration, life, love, where are you?

Where are you God damn it?
What’s taking so long?
For you to show up in my life
and tell me that I am wrong

Who’s holding you back?
Who’s keeping you away?
From coming right at me
and rock me all the way

Why haven’t I found you yet?
How’s this for a sign?
To show yourself to me
and let me make you mine

She’s playing hard to get
She’s saying no to love
yet she can’t get enough
of hearing she’s the one

She ‘s talking about sex
as a purely physical act
says she doesn’t want love
for now just sex is enough

She’s getting contradictive
and she doesn’t realise that
she’s actually seeking love
even though she says she’s had enough

She’s feeling kind of lonely
but she won’t admit that
she likes showing she’s strong
and that she’s cool as I am

She ‘ll come to me in the end
but she won’t let go right away
she ‘ll wait for the right moment
she feels I ‘m under her sway

she needs to feel she holds sway
and ‘ll play…

Consuming my thoughts ever since our little walk
a revelation to me about your inner self
left me almost speechless with a question in my head
that I just cannot ask yet

“I wanna get lost with you” got stuck in my mind
a song that will remind me of you from now on at times
it’s just another reason not to stop thinking of you
because you are a diamond aren’t you?

I ‘ve never met a diamond like yourself before you know
and I cannot be myself in the environment we meet at most
I ‘m losing my mind and all because of you Mami, you tango queen
all my life, where have you been?

Forget Her

emotional, emotions, forget, life, love, memories, poem, poetry, regret

by the small bench at the park there was sitting a kid
who thought of life as something to give
and wanted to give me a reason to live

it was obvious to the kid that deep inside of me
there was a sadness that made me look older
and wanted to know what I had told her

and I just started talking about her in tears
and as I remembered the words exactly
the kid said “she’s lovely”

and then the words came out of my mouth
I said to her “I love you”
the kid said “No! I love you”

it’s good that she ran away the kid said
because now you are not together
and you know you couldn’t get her
thus it’s easier to forget her
