What are you afraid of?

Everything is moving fast these days
everybody leaves and nobody stays
abandoned in a miserable lonely state
wondering if I should accept my fate

Loneliness is not in fact the bad part
especially when you have a lonely heart
it gets worse when the writer’s block hits
and that’s when you really get the chills

Becoming familiar with the new rate of change
I admit at first it feels a little bit strange
are we actually getting somewhere better
or are we spinning around the same centre?

There’s always a question of why in all this
people are getting softer and nobody speaks
should you raise your hand or speak up right now
should you remain silent and avoid it somehow

That life that you seek is what you call salvation
at least that’s what you ‘re after without hesitation
let’s raise a glass or two for a life with no trade off
and the question now becomes “what are you afraid of?”

Nothing

change, life, neverending, not happy, nothing, result not good

The result has been announced
the result is nothing
all the time and effort put into it
has resulted to nothing

Disappointing as it might be
the excuse means nothing
as the result is not the expected one
the excuse is also nothing

You got it all wrong again
that’s why the result is nothing
you need to change your mind
to turn nothing into something

That nothing means negligence
that result means avoidance
you didn’t deal with the problem
you left it develop into nothing

Improvement is nothing
if the direction is wrong
the result is also nothing
when will is not strong

Don’t stop for nothing!

Excited & Stressed

backwards, change, deep meaning, feelings, how it goes, life, meaning of life, older and wiser, poetry, read in reverse, written in reverse

This all goes backwards just to be clear
life though still starts with a tear
continuous uncertainty triggers fear
now nothing is really enough dear

Quick and dirty tricks had no trust
back then the way to make it fast
happiness does not seem to last
the way it used to be in the past

Slowly moving on but still willing to try
there is no right or wrong just getting by
like pretty much every other point in life
excited and stressed at the same time

Same Old New Beginning(s)

change, failure, life, moving on, new beginnings, new plans, new year, success

What the past year has reminded us, is that nothing is for certain
nothing is forever and nothing great happens without a burden

Yet here we are, planning ahead at the beginning of, and like every year
new things to start, new things to buy but with the same lack of fear

It’s been a while since you last tried to make a change for the better
you have managed to succeed in other areas but still didn’t get her

Back at the beginning, back at starting small, back at craving for more
you are now more experienced though and more confident than before

Change is a constant, moreover you now know that, alone can’t get you far
a new beginning will put you closer to failure if you stay the same you are

The only plan you should have in mind when new beginning(s) are setting in
is how you set yourself free, if you do not have time to spend on it to complete

One Chance

chances, change, choices, dilemmas, dreams, life, personal

Had one chance to fix it all
make myself happy and move on
but I ended up doing the norm
fell in the trap of “I can do it all!”

Now everything is moving fast
no time for anything to last
starting to missing the past
too tired for myself to trust

Hopefully it was not my only chance
another will come for me to grasp
how could I do this to myself I ask
fear of need is a hard to handle task

Giving Up

Giving up on something is the right thing to do
when things start hurting than doing good to you
and you are mostly confident that you want to let go
because you realise there’s nothing more to show

Taking the decision of moving on with your life first
eager to get down to hard work to satisfy your thirst
is a mind game of all sorts of feelings and thoughts
strictly personal as no one will give you the props

There should be no guilt when choosing a better life
this is all we are all after, however it’s not a strife
do not get confused by other people choosing this or not
this is only about you and what you want to reach out for

New Life

What does it mean “new life”?
What happens to the old one?
How do you define old and new?
Questions that need no answers really

New life means decisions take place
it also means huge changes from now on
it means that situations have grown you older
not just older but wiser too

So “new life” means new perspective of future
not what you had in mind all this time
For good or for bad, not under your control
But definitely a matter of perspective

Who’s in it? Who’s not and why?
Well I guess some remain, some fly away
“new life” is just the way it is
a new way of living for the rest of our lives i.e.

Time to see where it goes from here…

Manage Change

change, changes, life, motivation, self control

As you‘re getting older
It gets harder and harder
To make changes
In your life

You have to go through them
As soon as you can
Before you are forced to
Make changes
Again

You need to be adaptable
Pursue stability through change
Because change is stability
Understand the sense of this
Change happens
Always

Someday you‘ll enjoy this
Pursuing change
Someday you’ll get tired of this
Going through changes
But don’t stay put
Move On
Change

Motivational Need to Change

The plan is simple
You need to change
You‘ve been the same for too long
And soon you won’t recognize it anymore

The time is right
You need to change
Now is the time to do it don’t hesitate
You don’t realize but do so before it’s too late

The mind is numb
You need to change
Move on, don’t stop and don’t look back
You know you can be better than that

The body is numb
Because you stopped
The mind needs to take over
You need to change

Re-start Learning

You need to keep learning new stuff
you cannot rely on the things you know forever and that’s tough
because things change and you need to catch up
don’t be relieved with the things you ‘ve learnt so far

It seems that you feel you ‘re getting older
and as a matter of fact you indeed are
but you need to keep learning new stuff
otherwise you let yourself fall back

If you feel you ‘re on top of the world
guess what? you are most probably not
chances are you are on your way down
and your mind’s distracted no doubt

You think and you feel there is no time
to learn new things or at least try
but the weird thing is that you never had
it’s just that now the excuse doesn’t sound that bad

You almost had believed it but something felt wrong
and then you realised it had been wrong all along
because you are not there yet not on top of the world
you are somewhere behind and you need to move on

Your secret desire to reach your ultimate goal
had your mind fooled and thought you stood tall
but the road to freedom is full of traps like this
you are not there yet you are far from finding peace

Put your head together stay focused on your plan
don’t let your desires create the illusion that you are done
remind yourself it’s hard to reach a steady state of bliss
and you should never get tired or bored of learning new things
