You thought you could get away
that you could avoid it all along
and tried to get another taste
because of the initial problem you forgot

Back at fighting with your demons
back at trying to avoid it all
why not try to face the problem
and stop thinking you are about to fall

You know that you are bad at it
you know that most likely you will fail
you may be stronger than a decade ago
but the problem remains the same

Instead of trying to get away with it
try dealing with it right now
you never tried that, you know
and it’s the time to put it in the test somehow

Still haven’t found the one
whose life clock synchronizes with mine
whose speed of life coordinates with mine
who can escort me in love

Problem lies within
I should be searching for her
I should not be waiting for her
I should let her in

The one to be with me
such a joke to be found in the world
such a sad story to say to the world
is the one to set me free

Still haven’t found the one
who can escort me in love
problem lies within
I should let her in
the one to be with me
travels roughly at the same speed

It’s hard to accept yourself as it is
you always push and push for him to be ahead
then you get angry when someone tells you this
as if he or she said something wrong instead

You think you are selfish and indeed you are
that is why you are still alone in the dark
trying to find out who the hell you are
you have a long way yet before you embark

Have you not get tired with all of these yet?
have you not noticed of the same mistake again?
you are obviously wrong if you are still in debt
change your perspective before you lose yourself

The Last Walk VII: Idle

This year has been idle
this year has been a waste
I ‘ve almost forgotten it
a lot of things have changed

We talked about progress
we talked about how we move on
it’s been seven years now
I ‘ve certainly not moved on

I have managed to do a tribute
and post it online in public view
nothing great and far from perfect
but it’s one song we both knew

We used to listen to this song
even just before the last walk
still remember that bit he liked
during which he liked to talk

We went past our previous point
we went beyond the futsal fields
we talked about moving forward
we planted in our minds the seeds

This year has been idle
but I still remember that walk
the last walk that was all
all of hope, all about moving on

One Chance

Had one chance to fix it all
make myself happy and move on
but I ended up doing the norm
fell in the trap of “I can do it all!”

Now everything is moving fast
no time for anything to last
starting to missing the past
too tired for myself to trust

Hopefully it was not my only chance
another will come for me to grasp
how could I do this to myself I ask
fear of need is a hard to handle task

Giving up on something is the right thing to do
when things start hurting than doing good to you
and you are mostly confident that you want to let go
because you realise there’s nothing more to show

Taking the decision of moving on with your life first
eager to get down to hard work to satisfy your thirst
is a mind game of all sorts of feelings and thoughts
strictly personal as no one will give you the props

There should be no guilt when choosing a better life
this is all we are all after, however it’s not a strife
do not get confused by other people choosing this or not
this is only about you and what you want to reach out for

It’s about to rain outside
and I can’t go out and play
I ‘m still on a one way ride
to a place I cannot yet say

The summer has gone for sure alright
uncertainty put me on idle mode
didn’t even feel the need to write
nothing really inspiring along the road

New beginnings, change of course
ending things that can’t go on
reaching milestones of all sorts
anything that can make me strong

It’s about to rain outside
and I can’t go out and play
I need to stay inside and write
a celebration of all I didn’t say
